Pushing Through

by Theo Blaustein

Today I want to talk about pushing through.

What do I mean by that, you ask?

Well, some days you feel like the task ahead is insurmountable.

Like the lights are too bright and the crowds’ chanting is blaring your eardrums.

I feel like that a lot these days.

But when I do, it’s all about taking a step back.

Give yourself a moment to breathe.

I’ll give you an example.

Yesterday, I was told that my job between now and January is being a flour salesman.

You read that right, flour (if any of you want some it’s really high quality, hit me up).

Anyway, I have no experience in that field, and that task is daunting for me.

What if’s are racing through my mind.

“Am I up to the task?”

“How the hell am I going to sell flour?”

But I took a step back and calmed myself.
I’ll figure it out as I go.

No one has it fully figured out.

No one.

Which is why you have to take a breath, and push through.

Give yourself a pep talk.

“I can sell this flour! I will sell this flour!”

Sorry for making this piece all about flour guys, but you get my point.

You are capable of more than you give yourself credit for.

I know sometimes things can get scary, but I promise you have that other gear.

Life may seem overwhelming, but if you take it one step at a time you will be ok.

You will be more than ok, you’re doing great.
